• Cook and present nutritious, fresh meals (dinner) for students and staff.
• Ensure all food is prepared fresh, maintaining high standards of taste, appearance, and temperature.
• Assist with menu planning to ensure balanced, appealing, and culturally diverse options.
• Manage portion control effectively to ensure satisfaction while minimising food waste.

Religious & Dietary Compliance

• Adapt catering for Ramadan to deliver high-quality, sustaining meals for Iftar.
• Safely manage food allergens and medical dietary requirements to eliminate cross-contamination risk.

Kitchen Operations, Health & Safety

• Uphold strict hygiene standards in all kitchen and service areas, adhering to Food Safety regulations.
• Monitor and record fridge/freezer temperatures and food core temperatures daily.
• Ensure stock rotation using FIFO (First In, First Out)
• Report any maintenance issues, faulty equipment, or health and safety hazards immediately to the Health and safety team.

• Bulk Catering: Experience cooking high-quality meals for large groups (50+) on a strict timetable.

• Allergen Control: Competency in managing food allergies and safely preparing alternative meals.

• Teen Nutrition: Ability to design balanced, appealing menus tailored to the high energy needs of adolescents.

• Kitchen Operations: Sharp skills in stock rotation (FIFO), cost efficiency, and waste minimisation.

• Safeguarding Aware: A strong understanding of professional boundaries and child protection in a residential setting.

• Approachable: A warm, community-minded attitude when interacting daily with boarding students.
